Galloway Tavern: A Casual Pizza Haven in Galloway, OH

Great atmosphere with local Ohioans, doing Ohio stuff: Gathering, eating great Ohio pub-style pizza, and communing at a dive bar. We strongly recommend this spot for great pizza and wings. Being in Central Ohio, we're always up for some great pizza, and this place delivers! Domestic and craft beers and a decent selection of spirits (with lighter snack options, like chips). There was a party going on when we arrived, so it's at least somewhat child friendly.

Great dive bar. Wings are pretty good and the food and drinks are pretty cheap. They do karaoke sometimes although I've never been. I was reluctant to go because of location, you're not sure if it's POC friendly but it isn't an issue. Good local spot.

Great place, great food. Service was great when we had it, but like everywhere, they could use additional, quality help.

Tried it for the first time and will DEFINITELY be back. We had the double baked wings and they were amazing. Next time, we’re trying some pizza and a burger on TEXAS TOAST!

June 30, 2025 marked my third visit to Galloway Tavern, and this time, I called in a pickup order armed with a strategy straight from the comments section. Shoutout to Nikki for suggesting the Carolina Gold/Hot/Garlic combo with a well-done bake — that’s exactly what drove my order today. But let’s rewind for context. Visit #2 Recap: I thought I had it all figured out: six wings with hot garlic sauce (no special bake) and the GT Pizza. The toppings on that pizza were genuinely premium — you could see why people say this place is known for them. Generous sausage, fresh mushrooms, all the good stuff. But there was almost no sauce, which made me feel like I was on some strange diet I didn’t sign up for. I’d still give the pizza another shot with extra sauce, but as it was, that round was a no for me. The wings, though? That’s when I knew hot garlic was my lane. Even though the cook wasn’t ideal — not the crisp I’d hoped for — the flavor was strong enough to keep me coming back. If that second visit had been my first impression, I probably wouldn’t have rushed to write all about it, but it was promising enough to keep exploring. Today’s Visit (#3): I finally tested the well-done bake with Nikki Stormont recommended mix. The Carolina Gold was sweet enough to have a loud personality — the kind that shows up uninvited and talks over everyone else at the table. I had to get a side of straight hot sauce to calm it down and bring some order to the conversation. The garlic was a little shy, but the wings were perfectly cooked this time, confirming for me that Galloway Tavern really is worth coming back to — especially when you figure out how to customize everything to your own taste. ⸻ TL;DR: • Pizza toppings? Great food! A little slow on the preparation and getting it out the door but memorable. Bartenders are working their butts off due to the overwhelming locals. Hard to get a seat at the bar ever!! and forget it on a Friday or Saturday night. There might as well be a slot machine in front of the bar stools. Seems like locals Rule and with the delicious food they could see bigger numbers with more space. Try the burgers and the pizza at a amazing price

For pub food, it’s pretty good. Service was great and fast. We got the half mushroom pepperoni and half cheese. They cut the pieces very large but that’s no complaint from me. Heavier on the sauce but I prefer my pizza that way. Also seems heavy on the cheese but again, not a problem just something to note! I recommend the potato skins and the cream cheese jalapeño poppers. The place was absolutely packed on an early Sunday evening. Seemed like an older crowd but still super lively and loud - a great sign that the food is good!

I’ve eaten wings here everyday for the past year. They were great every time and I am a much better person for it. Thank you for your service. Double baked
